Overview Text | The TUMI Data Hub is built on CKAN, an open-source data management system, and is designed to make key mobility and urban planning datasets easily accessible to anyone who needs them. This includes policymakers, researchers, and urban planners working to improve mobility in cities around the world. In addition to providing access to data, the TUMI Data Hub will also incorporate open-source software tools for analyzing and visualizing data. This allows users to quickly and easily gain insights from the data, and to share those insights with others. The development of the Data Hub is supported by the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI), a project initiated by the German development organization, GIZ, with a goal to promote sustainable urban mobility in cities of the developing world.New base datasets are now available for Yaoundé (Cameroon), Nairobi (Kenya), Kumasi (Ghana), and Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). Each city package provides a harmonised set of GeoJSON layers sourced from OpenStreetMap. The data are organised by core themes – Buildings, Streets, Points of Interest, Land Use, Transport, and Environment – with concise metadata notes and, where relevant, XLSX summary tables. |
